1st Year Residents 2006

Azzam, Mai
Dr. Mai Azzam attended Jordanian University of Science and Technology. After graduation in 1995, Dr. Azzam was in private practice for two years. Her immediate plans are completing her degree and research in visible light cured denture base material. She is married to Dr. Abdalluh Alzubi and has three daughters.



Mansour, Mohamed
Dr. Mohammad Mansour graduated from Cairo University School of Dentistry and received the Egyptian Perio-Restora-tive Society Award. After graduation in 1996, Mohamed was active in private practice. His research interests are in Retrograde Filling, Materials, Endodontics and physiology. Future plans include becoming proficient in all aspects of Prosthodontics, finishing the program, taking the Board, establishing a high level of interaction in study clubs and private practice, and getting a fellowship in Implants. Dr. Mansour is single and enjoys tennis, swimming, and soccer.

Reina, Elaine
Dr. Elaine Reina is from Guatemala and attended Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala. After graduating in 2001, she was active in private practice and received several Community Service Awards. Elaine’s research interest is on Effect of oregano infusion over streptococcus mutans and lactobacillus acidophilus. Future plans include finishing the program, continuing with dental/medical missions in Guatemala, maybe Advanced Standing Program in the U.S./Indiana (if possible). Dr. Reina is single and enjoys traveling and riding horses.


Ridha, Hashem
Dr. Hashem Ridha is from Kuwait and attended Virginia Commonwealth Medical College. He plans to continue working for the Public Health Sector and maybe establishing a part—time private practice. Dr. Ridha is married, has three children, and enjoys traveling and soccer.




Schaub, Kellie
Dr. Kellie Schaub attended University of Toledo and Indiana University School of Dentistry. In 2006 she received the American College of Prosthodontic Award, John f. Johnston Award, Russell Winfield Lehman D.D.S. Scholarship, James E. Humphrey D.D.S. Memorial Scholarship, and was on the Dean’s List. Her future plans include private practice in Indianapolis area and teaching part-time at the Dental School. Dr. Schaub is married, has two children and enjoys outdoor activities, family, and sports, especially soccer.

Scotti, Kevin
Dr. Kevin Scotti is from Caracas, Venezuela. He graduated from the Universidad Santa Maria Caracas. In 2003 he received the Argentinean Dental Association Investigation Free Communication Award. Kevin is single and enjoys tennis, reading, and movies. His research interest is Biosafety and Oral Microbiology. Future plans are uncertain. He would like to stay in the United States or join his siblings and practice in Spain.


1st Year Residents 2007

Al-Qenaei, Nouri
Dr. Nouri Alqenaei is from Kuwait. He is married with two children. Dr. Al-Qenaei graduated from Durham College, England, UK. He tested out of some courses at Durham College. In 2002, he graduated from Dundee Dental School. Again he tested out of courses from Dundee University (3 out of 4 subjects). Dr. Al-Qenaei is working hard getting a certificate of fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is looking forward to having a private practice.

Amornporcharoen, Manrat
Manrat Amornpornchareon is from Thailand. He was a graduate of Khon Kaen University School of Dentistry in 2005. He was in private practice from 2005-2006. Dr. Amornpornchareon had one year of training in Operative Dentistry from Chiang Mai University, which he completed in 2007. At Chiang Mai University some of his former professors were IU graduates. (He had good training!) As part of pre-doctoral research he conducted tests on the adhesion of putty type condensation silicone washed by low viscosity addition silicone in 2004.

Lalonde, James
James Michael LaLonde was born in Defiance, Ohio, He was in private practice from 1980-2007. Dr. LaLonde graduate from Ohio State University, with a degree in Microbiology. He graduated from dental school in 1980, also at Ohio State University. Now he is enjoying the challenge of the Maxillofacial Prosthodontic Program. Dr. LaLonde loves to golf, but has no time now to enjoy it. He hopes to teach and do research in implants and Oral Facial Pain.

Palasuk, Jadesada
Jadesada Palasuk was born in Saraburi, Thailand. He is single. He graduated from Chulalongkorn University School of Dentistry in 2004. He became a full time instructor at Naresuan University School of Dentistry from 2005 to the present. He receives a government scholarship for his studies abroad. Dr. Palasuk would like to do research in dental materials. He plans to continue on to a Ph.D. program in dental materials sciences. He will return to teach at the Faculty of Dentistry at Naresuan University after receiving his Ph.D. degree.

Shimizu, Graciela
Graciela Shimizu is from Peru. She is a Peruvian, and married with no children at this time. Dr. Shimizu attended “The Universidad San Martin De Porres Facultad De Odontologia” from 1994-2000. After graduating from dental school in 2000, Dr. Shimizu had private practice experience for a year before coming to the United States. Her research interest was in “Comparison of the shearing forces of the metal ceramic silicon brackets”. Dr. Shimizu loves dancing and traveling. She used to be in acting. In the future she would like to have a private practice here in the United States. She is also interested in teaching and volunteering around the world.

Mughrabi, Zeyad
Zeyad Mughrabi is out of the country at the present time, for family reasons. His biography is unavailable.
